InterAct Youth Arts Festival

Millennium Forum, Co. Londonderry, July 27 – August 5.

Youths aged 12 – 21 can interact with the arts and each other with a week of multi-disciplinary workshops, film screens, special guest and live performances.

Northern Ireland Milk Cup

Various locations across Northern Ireland, July 29 – August 2.

Watch some of the world’s budding young footballers as they congregate in Ballymoney, Ballymena, Coleraine and Limavady for this annual tournament of top teams from five continents.


Wildlife Summer Camp

Navan Centre and Fort, Co. Armagh, July 29 – August 2.

Make your summer one to remember with a fun packed week which is not to be missed.  Experience camping and cooking, have a go at arts and crafts, go pond dipping for mini beasts, meet characters from the past and visit Gulliver’s Island.


World Police and Fire Games,

various venues, Belfast, August 1 – 10.

There are a number of spectator events taking place during the World Police and Fire Games with everything from athletics, swimming, cycling and rugby taking place.


Féile 25

Various venues, Belfast, August 1 – 11.

Ireland’s biggest community arts festival and summer school with music, discussion, visual arts, family events, sports, tours and walks and much more.  This year the festival will celebrate 25 years and everyone is welcome to join the fun.


Meet the Ancestors – A Living History Event

Omagh Living History Park, Omagh, Co. Tyrone, August 2 – 9.

Relive history with this historical event with characters in period dress.  Great fun for all the family.


Donkey Day

Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, Cultra, Co. Down, August 3.

Bring the kids to get up close to donkeys and watch them as they take on the donkey obstacle course, egg and spoon races and musical chairs.


Rare Breeds Poultry Fair

Florence Court, Co. Fermanagh, August 3.

Exhibitors of pure breed poultry will be bringing all manner of rare breeds to show, talk about and sell.


The Heart of the Glens Festival

Cushendall, Co. Antrim, August 3 – 11.

One of the most successful community festivals in Northern Ireland with over 100 events for all the family including a themed street night, ceili and a vintage fun day.


Open House Festival Bangor 400

Various venues, Bangor, Co. Down, August 4 – 31.  A music based festival featuring headline concerts, informal music sessions, comedy, poetry, walking, tours and exhibitions throughout the month of August.
