When it comes to scenic spots in Northern Ireland – we really are blessed from the Mourne Mountains to the breath-taking Causeway Coast and Glens.

Now that Autumn is well and truly in full swing – we suggest you get out and go exploring on an autumn walk this season and experience some of our best views in Northern Ireland.

Here’s our pick of some of our finest spots.

Cavehill, Belfast

Looking for the best view over Belfast? You’ve found it! Take a Sunday walk to the top of Cavehill and enjoy panoramic views over the city!

Lough MacNean, Fermanagh

The stunning Fermanagh Lakes, also referred to as the lake district of Northern Ireland offer miles of secluded scenic views, the perfect spot to get away from it all!

Mourne Mountains

Commonly referred to as the ‘Majestic Mournes‘, this magical mountain range was the inspiration for CS Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia – and we can certainly see why!

Glenariff Forest Park, Co. Antrim

One of our hidden Gems, Glenariff Forest Park complete with 3 waterfalls is a favourite stopping off point for many photographers.

Mussenden Temple, Derry~Londonderry

One of our most well known landmarks, Mussendun Temple offers visitors spectacular cliff top views overlooking Downhill strand.

Slieve Gullion, Co. Armagh

Whether you walk or drive through Slieve Gullion Forest Park – you will be greeted with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.


The rugged Sperrins mountain range is a walker’s paradise. Northern Ireland’s largest mountain range, an area of outstanding beauty just waiting to be explored!

Cushendun, Co. Antrim

Nestled on the North Coast, the sea-side village of Cushendun is known as one of our most picturesque and is a fantastic stop-off point on the Casueway Coastal Route.

Rathlin Island, Co. Antrim

One of our most beloved spots, visitors to Rathlin Island can enjoy the beautiful birdlife in the summer months – including the the famous puffins of the island.
