Born in Belfast, now residing in Ballyclare, Northern Ireland, Gareth Maybin is an accomplished European Tour Professional who has enjoyed 12 top ten finishes since turning professional in 2009. Following completion of a scholarship in the University of South Alabama in 2005, Maybin, 32, played for two and a half years on the NGA Tour, a developmental tour in America, winning twice. He subsequently recorded a further three top ten finishes en route to 49th place in the end of season rankings, and went on to represent Ireland in the 2007 Mission Hills World Cup. In 2010 the golfer came in 40th place in The Race to Dubai. The 2013 season has seen Gareth finish 12th at the Dubai Desert Classic and more recently 16th at the Open de Espana.
